Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a multi-car crash in a section of Newark.
It happened around 8:50 p.m. near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found about three cars involved in a collision with the driver of one of the vehicles, not at that location.
Police say the suspect fled from the crash scene wearing a red hoodie.
Essex County Sheriff's Office officers conducted the search, but it is unclear if the suspect was ever located.
No severe injuries were reported.
