Police in Jersey City are looking into the motive behind a shooting that injured two victims in the city Tuesday evening.
In the incident, police responded to reports of a person shot near 247 Old Bergen Road shortly before 6:25 p.m.
Officers arrived and found the male victim suffering a gunshot wound to his back.
While EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, officials at the hospital informed officers that a second person entered the emergency department suffering bullet wounds.
Police found the private vehicle that the victim arrived in and launched an investigation.
Authorities are currently looking into if both victims suffered their injuries at the exact location.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Police reported no arrests.
