ALERT: Woman Wanted for Knifepoint Robbery of Newark Store

Newark Police officials are reporting that police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying an individual wanted for questioning for a robbery that occurred on Friday, December 10. 

Police said the robbery occurred at a commercial establishment on the 400 block of Springfield Avenue when a female suspect entered the establishment and brandished a knife at an employee while placing items for sale into a laundry bag.

According to police, the female suspect threatened the employee when an attempt to stop her from exiting was made.

The suspect fled the establishment without paying for numerous items and with approximately eighty-five dollars in currency.

Police say the suspect is described as a female with a medium complexion, wearing a black jacket with a hood and black pants with two white stripes on the legs.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of this investigation.
