Police in Newark are checking a North Ward neighborhood for a crime scene after two shooting victims entered University Hospital this evening.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., officials reported to police that two gunshot victims entered the emergency room seeking treatment.
Police arrived at the medical center and were told that shooters fired at the victims in the vicinity of Park Avenue and North 6th Street.
The condition of the victims have not been reported as fatal at this time.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
