A gas station attendant suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being assaulted in Elizabeth on Sunday night during a robbery.
It happened at the Shell gas station located at 592 Spring Street shortly before 9:25 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicated that two masked black males arrived at the gas station armed with a gun and demanded cash from the attendant.
During the robbery, reports say one of the suspects began to strike the victim in the head with the gun.
The suspects took about $200 before fleeing the scene.
Police say the victim was treated for his injuries and is expected to recover.
The suspects remain at large.
