A man died this afternoon after police said he lost control of his car in Woodbridge Township.
According to police, the unidentified man was traveling north on Route 1 near Green Street sometime around 1 p.m. when he lost control of his van crashing into a utility pole.
The driver of a second vehicle involved is said to have suffered minor injuries.
The victim of the van was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the fatality is being withheld until family is notified. Accident remains under investigation.
