Newark Police are on the scene of a shooting with three individuals injured in the South Ward.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 27 Foster Street, prompting police to the scene to investigate.
Officers flooded the area then found three victims struck by bullets.
The most serious of the three victims was placed in a police vehicle and rushed to University Hospital.
Police say the other two victims were transported to the hospital by EMS.
The suspect fled the scene and remained at large.
Authorities have not released a motive for the attacks.
