Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for a brazen daytime robbery in Newark's South Ward.
A preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 10 a.m., the suspect entered Wendy's Restaurant located on the complex of the old Valley Fair on Chancellor Avenue, then pointed a gun to the head of one of the employees and demanded cash.
The suspect took about $5000 before fleeing the scene.
Newark Police detective canvassed the area for the suspect, but no arrests have been made.
Police reported no physical injuries.
