Newark Moonlight Cinema and the American Black Film Festival are premiering a new documentary called "Why Is We Americans" on November 6.
According to their website, "Why Is We American" is an in-depth, documentary film exploring Newark’s legendary Baraka family, social activism, poetry, music, art, and politics.
The documentary is directed by Udi Aloni & Ayana Morris and produced by Ms. Lauryn Hill.
"Why Is We American" premieres on November 6 at the Newark Moonlight Cinema on 220 Orange Street in Newark. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.
