Mercer County officials have announced that one of the victims from the Sunday shooting on Lamberton Street was pronounced dead on Monday evening. He has been identified as Hector Torres, 43, of Trenton.
Mr. Torres is the 34th homicide victim in Trenton in 2021.
According to county officials, a shooting occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. in front of Diamond in the Rough bar in the 500 block of Lamberton Street.
Police responded to a Shot Spotter activation at that location and arrived to find an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials said that he was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.
According to officials, a second adult male victim was brought into Fuld hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck. He is in stable condition.
The incident is being investigated by the Shooting Response Team and the Mercer County Homicide Task Force.
