The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of a shooting that severely injured a person in New Brunswick Tuesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were dispatched to the 80's block of Remsen Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person unconscious and suffering gunshot wounds.
Medical professionals administered CPR to the unresponsive victim before transporting them to an area hospital for advanced treatment.
Police reported no arrests and the incident remains under investigation.
