Officials at NJ Transit are looking into the cause of an incident where a train struck a woman in Bergen County on Thursday night.
According to NJ Transit officials, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Bergen County Line train #1281, which departed from Hoboken at 10:17 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Waldwick at 11:08 p.m., struck and injured an adult female pedestrian in the vicinity of Glen Rock Boro Hall station.
Officials said EMS transported the alert and conscious unidentified female to the hospital.
According to NJ Transit, the extent of the woman's injuries is unknown at this time.
There were no reported injuries to the approximately 45 customers or crew on board at the time.
New Jersey Transit police officers are leading the investigation.
