A Lakehurst man was sentenced for distributing child pornography, authorities said today.
Friday, Superior Court Judge Francis Hodgson Jr. in Toms River imposed Michael Allen, 28 to register under Megan's Law, authorities said.
On May 7, 2013, investigators raided Allen's Maple Street home after an investigation was launched by a referral from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to New Jersey's Crime Against Children Task Force, which led to his arrest.
The Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, found thousands of graphic images depicting sexual assault on children, prosecutor said.
Investigation alleged that Allen traded images of child pornography with other people. Allen was charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and in September he pleaded guilty to one of those second-degree charges, the prosecutor said.
