NJIT Police were on the scene of a pedestrian strike in Newark Friday afternoon.
The victim was struck by a car near the intersection of Colden and Academy streets shortly before 2:36 p.m.
EMS transported the male to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The incident is under investigation.
