The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a Monday evening homicide in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.
Police responded to the first block of Faircrest Avenue just before midnight on Monday, September 6.
Multiple shell casings were discovered at the scene along with two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.
A victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center by private vehicle and pronounced dead at 12:01 a.m.
Authorities identified him as Mr. Shamiem Young, 26, of Trenton.
