Police launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in the head with a knife by an armed suspect in a seemingly unprovoked attack in a section of Camden Saturday morning.
Authorities said it happened around 3:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Newton Avenue and Chestnut Street.
The male victim was approached by the unidentified suspect, who pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the head, police said.
Police say the victim sustained a severe laceration to the head and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment by EMS.
As of 4:55 a.m. Saturday, there were no updates on his condition.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
