A teenage boy suffered non-fatal injuries in a Jersey City shooting incident on Tuesday night.
According to police, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 47 Rutgers Avenue, prompting a police investigation.
Upon arrival, police found the teenage boy suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location.
Police said the boy was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to survive.
Detectives canvassing the scene found a blood trail in a building in the 30's block of Rutgers, but no other victims were located.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
