FBI Offers 20K Reward for Information on Missing Newark Woman Who Disappeared 9 Years Ago

Federal authorities today announced that a $20,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the whereabouts of Carla Vicentini, who disappeared nine years ago after walking out of a Ferry Street bar in Newark.

According to authorities, on Feb. 10, 2006, Vicentini went to a bar - where she was employed as a waitress - to visit her roommate.

While at Adega Bar and Grill, Vicentini was seen having a conversation with a man, who according to officials invited her to his car to look at a photograph sometime around 2:30 a.m. Before leaving, Vicentini told her roommate she would meet her at home, according to reports. That was the last time anyone saw or heard from Vicentini.

Vicentini is described as approximately 5'7 in height, approximately 140 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Vicentini speaks limited English but is fluent in Portuguese.

Authorities describe man last seen with her before she went missing as a white male of unknown nationality, in his 30's, 5'8" and approximately 200 pounds, light eyes and short, salt and pepper hair.

Vicentini, a native of Brazil, came to the United States as part of an exchange program in 2006.
