Police are trying to connect the location of a shooting incident that injured a person in Jersey City early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a person shot at the Jersey City Medical Center around 2:50 a.m.
Officials at the hospital to police that the victim entered the emergency room suffering a non-life threatening gunshot graze wound to the buttocks.
Police are trying to determine if the victim was shot during a shots-fired incident in the 30's block of Provost Street just before 2:40 a.m.
Authorities have not released a motive behind the shooting or location at this time.
