North Plainfield Police are searching for two individuals accused of beating a township resident while in possession of a machete.
According to police, the 49-year-old victim was walking home Friday night when he was attacked by behind by two unidentified men, police said.
The victim told police, the suspects yelled, "give me your money," while kicking and punching him, all while the second attacker displayed a machete, police said.
A witness approached the suspects claiming to contact police. The two men reportedly fled the area without any money as a result.
No additional description was available on the attackers.
The incident remains under investigation.
