Police in Jersey City are investigating a shoplifting incident where a person left a mall with a high-end pocketbook valued at over $3000 in Jersey City on Thursday.
Authorities said at around 5:25 p.m, officers were called to the Newport Centre Mall to investigate reports of a theft.
Upon arrival, police said they learned that an unidentified shoplifter entered the Coach store and asked to see a bag then apparently walked out of the store without paying for the item.
