Newark Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck a child in the city’s South Ward then drove away.
Police officials said just after 6:45 p.m. today, officers responded to the area of Chancellor Avenue and Schley Street on a call of a pedestrian struck.
According to police, responding officers located a 10-year-old girl who was struck by a motorcycle.
Police say the child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
The driver did not remain at the scene and is at large.
This incident remains under investigation.
