Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that erupted on a street in Newark on Monday morning.
Authorities say a ShotSpotter device activated and alerted police of a shooting in the vicinity of 153 Camden Street around 1:30 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings, but no victims were located after they searched the area.
According to police, units also recovered shell casings near 223 Fairmount Avenue.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and is at large.
The motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
