Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help in identifying a female suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred on Wednesday, May 19.
According to police officials, at approximately 1 p.m., a resident in an apartment in the 100 block of Milford Avenue, left home, returning at 10:30 p.m. and finding the front door to his residence was unlocked.
Police said that the victim entered the apartment and found his bedroom ransacked with several items of personal property stolen, including a bank card, change and a car title.
Detectives investigating this incident obtained video surveillance footage of a female suspect in the area who is known by the name “Gotti”. While Police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating her as part of this investigation.
Police said she is described as 5’5” to 5’7” tall and 120 to 140 lbs. She was wearing a burgundy and green tie-dye shirt, gray pants and a purple scarf around her head.
