One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting incident in Paterson early Tuesday morning.
In the incident, police said at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Broadway.
Officers arrived and found the victim suffering a gunshot wound at that location.
Police say the injured was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and is in serious but stable condition.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office will handle the investigation.
