Paterson Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for shooting a man in a section of the city on Sunday.
The late-night shooting happened around 10:35 p.m. near 210 Park Avenue.
Units arrived in the area after a ShotSpotter activation to find shell casings but no victims were at that location.
Police say officials at St. Joseph's Hospital notified them of a walk-in gunshot victim who stated that a gunman fired rounds in his direction on Park Avenue.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
