Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 5:04 a.m. today, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Ellison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson, on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 45-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, for treatment.
Based upon the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was standing in the area of Ellison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard with a group of individuals, when he was shot by an unknown gunman.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
