Police in Newark seeks the public’s assistance with identifying an individual wanted for questioning for a burglary that occurred today.
Police said a burglary of a commercial establishment occurred in the 900 block of 18th Avenue when a male suspect burrowed through brick and sheetrock to gain entry.
Once inside the establishment, police said the suspect was able to remove $3,000.00 from an ATM, $800.00 from the cash register, and a Glock 19 handgun that was stored in a desk.
The suspect was wearing dark clothing at the time of this incident and fled in an unknown direction.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of this investigation.
