Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 21, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of North 3rd and Temple streets in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
According to police, while in route members of the Paterson Police Department were advised a 20-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound was in the area of North 4th and Temple streets in Paterson.
Officials said the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation the victim was shot in the area of North 4th and Temple streets in Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
