Residents in the 800 block of North 6th Street were awaken to loud sirens at around 3:30 a.m. as police and EMS responded to a reported stabbing in the area.
EMS transported a male victim around the age 35 to University Hospital reportedly stabbed to the arm and seriously injured.
The stabbing is being investigated by Newark Police.
