Somerset County officials announced the arrest of Steven Collucci, 59, of N. Clark Avenue, Somerville, in relation to inappropriate contact with his driving students which occurred in surrounding towns during driving school instruction sessions.
Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson stated that in June 2020, the victim (age 16) reported to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office that he or she was touched in a sexual manner by driving instructor, Steven Collucci of Dill’s Driving School.
According to officials, the victim was interviewed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit and stated that while driving in the area of Bridgewater and Hillsborough in June of 2017 during a driving school instruction he or she was touched in a sexual manner by Collucci.
Officials said that in January, a second victim (age 16) contacted the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office to report being touched by Collucci during a driving school instruction session.
The victim was interviewed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit. The victim reported that during a driving school instruction session in February 2019 in the area of New Brunswick, he or she was also touched in a sexual manner by Collucci.
On April 22, as a result of this investigation, Steven Collucci was arrested without incident at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. Collucci was charged with two counts of 2nd-degree Criminal Sexual Contact. Defendant Collucci was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
