Essex County announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, are investigating a fatal shooting.
According to police, on Monday, Mr. Malik Fogler, 45, was fatally shot on the 1000 block of South Orange Avenue.
Police say, Fogler was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 pm.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
No arrests have been reported.
