One person was transported to an area hospital after a shooting incident that occurred in Plainfield Sunday night.
Police say it happened in the 500 block of West 3rd Street before 10:30 p.m.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired and when they arrived, police found the victim suffering gunshot injuries at that location, according to police.
Police set up a crime scene where they began their investigation and no other victims or arrests were reported
The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
