Hudson County authorities are searching for a suspect wanted for a shooting that left a 16-year-old male fatally injured in Jersey City Monday night.
Police said at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired that and out in the 80's block of Bergan Avenue.
Officers arrived at the scene found an unconscious and unresponsive male suffering gunshot wounds.
Police say the victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical City for treatment and listed in grave condition.
A black male suspect fled the scene on foot, wearing a blue hoodie and jeans. He remains at-large, police said.
UPDATE 6:30am The victim has died
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
