Police are on the scene of an incident where a male jumped from a building in Newark's downtown causing fatal injuries.
According to police, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person near the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Halsey Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult male lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
Police said the male made his way up to the building's roof then jumped to his death.
Officers were able to positively locate the building where the man jumped, according to police.
The identity of the victim has not been confirmed at this time.
