Jersey City police swiftly recovered a vehicle carjacked in the city on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, at approximately 3:45 p.m., police responded to the vicinity of 346 Claremont Avenue to investigate reports of a carjacking in progress.
Upon arrival, the victim to police that a male suspect approached and implied having a gun stole their black GMC Envoy and then sped away from the scene.
Police say at approximately 4 p.m., officers canvassing the city found the unoccupied vehicle near the intersection of Williams Street and West Side Avenue.
Authorities are on the search for the suspect.
