Police officials in Newark are reporting no injuries in a shots-fired incident in the city's Central Ward.
According to police, at approximately 2 p.m., a ShotSpotter device alerted police of gunfire rang in the area of 389 South 6th Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they taped off the area after finding a vehicle struck by multiple bullets.
Police say officers found about a dozen shell casings and a male suspect ran from the scene. He remains at-large at this time.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
