Police in Newark are investigating a shots-fired incident in the city's South Ward on Monday.
In the investigation, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to the vicinity of 83 Schley Street after receiving reports of ballistics found at that location.
Upon arrival, police say officers located several shell casings and live rounds in the neighborhood.
Police officials are trying to determine when the shooting incident occurred as detectives checked surveillance cameras in the area.
There were no injuries reported.
