Authorities in Passaic County Prosecutor said at approximately 3:55 p.m., police were dispatched to Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found a 24-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound inside a building in the area of Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street.
Police say the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
According to police, a potential crime scene was located outside the building where the shooting victim was found.
According to police, members of the Paterson Police Department were then advised a 44-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
