Ems rushed a male victim to St. Joseph's Medical Center, suffering serious injuries after an assault in Paterson Tuesday night.
According to police, at approximately 10:24 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the 400 block of East 18th Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim bleeding from his head in what they initially believed was a gunshot wound.
Medical personnel at St. Joseph's Hospital later declared that the injury did not result from gunfire, but the victim was hit with a blunt object.
Police reported the condition of the injured as serious but stable and the suspect remains at-large.
