Police in Bayonne reported one injury in a shot-fired incident in a section of the city Saturday night.
It happened around 11:25 p.m. in the area of East 49th Street and Avenue E, where residents dialed 911 after hearing gunfire in the community.
Police arrived then taped the area off after they found shell casings and one victim suffering non-fatal injuries, according to police.
According to police, the victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and remained under the doctor's care.
The motive for the shooting has not been confirmed.
