Police in Elizabeth reported no physical injuries in an armed carjacking incident that occurred in the city Friday night.
In the incident, police said at approximately 11:17 p.m., police were alerted of a carjacking in progress in the 800 block of Bond Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, who reported that two males armed with a gun drove up on a gray Audi then approached and took their white Range Rover.
The suspects sped away from the scene and remain at-large.
At approximately 4:45 a.m Saturday, Newark Police located a grey Audi fitting the description then found the driver inside the vehicle with a loaded weapon near the intersection of Avon and Seymour Avenue.
Police took the suspect into custody and Elizabeth Police were notified of the arrest but did not immediately respond.
