Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, members of the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to the area of Aspen Place and State Street in Passaic on a report of a shooting.
According to police, upon arrival, responding officers located a 26-year-old male Passaic resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Evidence of a crime scene was located outside and inside the building where the shooting victim was located.
Police said the victim was immediately transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson New Jersey for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
