Police in Newark are investigating a crash that injured two victims in Newark's East Ward.
According to officials, the accident took place on McCarter Highway around the area of Walnut Street just before 9:50 p.m.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, police found a vehicle with extensive damage after crashing into a pole at that location and another car involved.
Two people suffered from non-life threatening injuries, and a couple of others reported pain.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a short time during the investigation.
