Two Newark Police Officers were transported to University Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle crash in the city's North Ward Friday night.
It happened around 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Avenue and Broadway.
Officials say officers were inside their vehicle when an out-of-control car slammed into the back of the cop car.
Both officers reportedly complained of back and neck injuries but are expected to be ok.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
