Elizabeth Police recovered shell casings at the scene of a shots-fired incident Friday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, gunfire rang out in the area of Green and Britton streets around 6:15 p.m., sending police to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police found evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victims were found after a search.
Officers canvassing the scene located several shell casings according to police,
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
