Police officials in Newark are investigating a reported carjacking near an interstate that runs through the city's South Ward on Tuesday night.
In the incident, police say a female victim entered the Clinton Avenue 5th Precinct and told officers that he was a victim of an armed carjacking around 11 p.m.
The victim reported that she was in the area of I-78 and West Peddie when a male suspect produced a gun then took her 2019 Dodge Charger.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "N33-NDM".
Police say the victim did not suffer any physical injuries, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
