Police are rushing a juvenile gunshot victim to Univerity Hospital after a shooting injured two victims a short time ago.
According to police, in the third shots fired incident in Newark today, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 22 Salem around 4:31 p.m.
Police said when they arrived at the scene, they found a male struck by bullets in his back and a second teen suffering a gunshot wound in his arm.
Officers set up a crime scene where they searched the area for additional victims and possible suspects.
Today’s other two shots fired incidents police said gunfire rang out in the 300 block of Fairmont Avenue around 9:45 a.m. and a near 122 North 2nd Street just before 7:50 a.m.
There were no injuries immediately reported in these shootings.
