Passaic County officials announced the arrest of Mr. Nyedair Parker, 28, from Paterson in relation to a shooting investigation that took place on June 8, 2019 in the area of 11th Avenue and East 28th Paterson, NJ. Mr.
Officials said Parker is charged with Attempted Murder, First Degree; Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Second Degree; Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose, Second Degree; and Certain Persons not to Possess a Weapon, Second Degree.
According to police, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 11th Avenue and East 28th Street Paterson on a report of an individual who had been shot.
Upon arrival the police located 15-year-old male juvenile who sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately brought to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Based on the investigation Mr. Parker was identified as a participant and charged police said.
The State has filed a motion for pretrial detention for Mr. Parker that will be heard by a Superior Court Judge.
