Newark North Ward Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shots-fired incident that caused property damage in that section of the city.
According to police, a resident of a home near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Greenwood Lake Street contacted police when a bullet crashed through her window and fell on the floor around 5:15 p.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found the projectile inside the home, but no victims were found after a search of the area.
According to officials, police will canvas the area for surveillance video in their investigation of the incident.
There were no arrests reported.
